PRESS RELEASE 28th July 2005

The Better Payment Practice Group urges businesses to be recognised for combating Late Payment by entering their awards.

The Better Payment Practice Group is inviting businesses that have successfully reduced late payment from their customers to enter its awards. These awards applaud businesses that understand the importance of good credit management and have ensured that they are paid on time as a result.

Rene de Sousa, BPPG representative for the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and one of the award judges, explained: “Getting paid on time is vital for any business. The Better Payment Practice Awards recognise companies that invest time and skill in making sure they receive their money when it is due and the winners will set an example to all that strong credit management procedures can help to combat late payment from customers.”

Businesses of all sizes can nominate themselves for the awards and there will be two winners, one for large businesses and one for small, and two runners up. Entry forms and full details can be found by clicking here, or by phoning 020 7655 0530. The closing date for entries is 15th August 2005. The winners will be announced at the Institute of Credit Management (ICM) Annual Dinner at the Inner Temple, London, on 14th October 2005. All entries will be judged by members of the Better Payment Practice Group.
