PRESS RELEASE 20th August 2003

Most frequently asked Late Payment Questions now available on the BPPG web site 20th August 2003

The Better Payment Practice Group (BPPG) has launched a ‘frequently asked questions’ resource for businesses in response to an emerging pattern of questions received on the Business Doctor facility on its website – payontime.co.uk

The FREE Business Doctor service was launched over two years ago to allow business owners and managers to pose questions to BPPG experts and receive a personal response. It has been an unprecedented success with thousands of businesses receiving help and advice on late payment issues.

Analysis of the questions posed has shown a number of frequent questions being asked about areas such as the late payment legislation, court procedures, collection techniques and customer vetting.

These have now been brought together into a new section to give users instant access to popular information. This can be found by clicking here.

Commenting on this enhancement, Peter Rowe, BPPG member and Director General of the Institute of Credit Management, said:
“ It is clear from our Business Doctor support service that many businesses share common issues. We hope that this new feature provides useful additional support. We will add to this area of the site over time to reflect the pattern of questions we receive.”

The BPPG site is now used by over 150,000 businesses a year as valuable advice and support. It is free to all users and is run on a not for profit basis, being free from any commercial revenue by way of advertising or sponsorship.
